wudda ya do?

Hey everyone?  Actually I only know of 3 people that actually read this.  Hope you are all doin good.  So lately I have been really busy.  Sorry fro not posting.  There has been a ton of stuff I have wanted to share but haven't had time.  Today I want to tell you about a friend of mine who helps out with UG (thats UNDERGROUND if you didn't know....... Karil)  Her name is Penny.  She is really excited about what we do.  She knows alot of people that I know.  She is someone I've known since 5th grade.  any-who,  She has been sharing what we do with alot of people.  Hearing her talk about it makes me excited and want to be a part of it and them I remember I am.  So she has been sharing this with tons of people which is awesome but the issue is they are my age and not really excited to hang out in my basement with a bunch of students.  alot of them have children of there own.  So I have been being asked alot lately to start an undergroundesk type of group for adults.  What do u guys think?  Here are the issues.  (there r prob. way more but here are the ones I can think of now)  1. I have no time or Money.  Basically all my free time is spent working on UG stuff.  2. I have no clue what to do or even how often we could do it.  3. I am already leading a group (UG) that I have no clue what I'm doin or were we are goin.  I am not sure if the people who attend UG get our idea or even the reason we exist.  I 'm not sure I really understand the reason we exist.  We are basically a huge dysfunctional family of people who are tryin to make a difference in each others lives.  (WE ARE THE CHANGE)  We are growing out of our house and need 2 make some changes.  4.  I feel like I have nothing to offer anyone who needs help.  I am not very good at leading people places and getting people from one point in life to another.  I am mostly someone who is willing to crawl down in the muck of life with people and hang out.  As far as getting them out I have no clue how to help.  5. I don't know if my family can handle another thing for us / me 2 do.  I am already spending alot of time with students and I also play poker every week and softball every week and I do UG every week.  To add something else 2 this might leave me a poor lonely man with no family living in a loony bin. 

Those were just some thoughts I had  on why not 2 do it.  If you know me or not I'd like 2 here your thoughts.  If you live near McHenry, IL I'd really like 2 here ur thoughts.  So this ended so ubruptly I am falling asleep at my computer.  See u all Later.

I know I don't come to UG (underground), but I really want to come check it out. Anywho, I think it's absurd for you to say that you you don't know or don't feel like you are helping people. You're helping people in ways (evidentally) you don't even know.

Secondly, it sounds like an "underground for adults" would be starting a church. And yeah you're right it is an enormous undertaking, but I've always assumed you were the right guy for the job. I've ran into a lot of pastors over my few years and I'm sick of seeing people that are trained to spread the word of God, rather than actually tell it. You're an extremely down to earth and that genuine attitude makes you a perfect candidate for interpreting the Bible. (please see number 4 on your list of issues).

ahh okay so im having mixed feelings! it kinda seems like an underground for adults would be a church?! idk

but you most deffinatly impact peoples lives mike and i want you to know that! ur an amazing role modle and i look up to like no other! i think that if your willing to have a adult "church" then do it but i also think that in UG it kinda seems like you were trying to make some big changes such as re locating and things of that sort so if you were to make and adult UG then i would imagine that those changes would be put at a stand still...? just some thoughts idk

okay, so not only do i not know that UG is underground, but apparently I don't know when you post either...I suck.
So, my thoughts are pretty negative right now. I am sorry to say. But, I think you are awesome, and your wife is awesome, and obviously everybody thinks you do an awesome job with UG...I would totally love to get together with other misfits and figure stuff out. But how do we keep it from becoming a "church"? and like you , I am already burn't out with my life and time besides work...(ex: I can't even make it to UG to help out)...
So, to answer your question: yes, I would love it, but I am leary, cause im afraid it would soon become an "organized church" and we would all poop out on you. sorry, i am in a bad mood....but you rock non the less, and I don't want you to end up a lonely man in a looney bin.
